MATTHEW WHITTAKER

Matthew Whittaker, 95, died Sunday, June 10, in Columbus, Ohio.
  
Mr. Whittaker was born August 5, 1894, in Lake City, Tennessee, the
son of William Whittaker.  He was a retired miner.
  
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Mae Rowland Whittaker.
  
Surviving are three sons, John of Columbus, Charlie of Obetz, Ohio,
and Ballard of Auxier; and 16 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren,
and 18 great-great grandchildren.
  
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, June 13, at 11 a.m.,
in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Dick VanHoose officiating.
  
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
