OTTIE WILLIAMS
1899-1966
Ottie F. Williams,67, of 387 5th St. Paintsville, died Tuesday,
March 1, 5:50 p.m. at the St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, W.Va.,
following an extended illness.
Born January 12, 1899 in Lawrence County, he was the son of the
late Henry Farmer and Malissa Evans Williams.
He was one of the original stockholders in Willams Grocery Company
when it was organized in 1930, and served as bookkeeper for the
past 20 years.
He was married to Lillian Wheeler Williams, who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Miss Mary Carolyn Williams of
Cincinnati, Ohio; one son, Jack Gary Williams of Carrollton; three
sisters, Mrs. Julia Gambill of Abilene, Texas; Mrs. Nola skaggs of
Martha; Mrs. Blanche Miller of Houtzdale, Pa.; and one brother,
Dr. H.C. Williams of Daytona Beach, Fla.
Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church, Thursday,
March 3, 2:00 p.m., with Rev. James Wallace officiating.
Interment was held in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery,
Staffordsville with the Jones-Preston Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.
