THELMA WILLIAMS
1907-1965
Mrs. Thelma Williams died at the age of 58, July 19, at 11:00 p.m.
in a local hospital after having a brief illness.
She was born June 8, 1907 and the daughter of the late Jesse and
Margaret Sturgill Picklesimer.
Born in Johnson Co., she made her residence at Van Lear.
She is survived by her husband, Houston Williams, a son, Delmar B.
Williams, Ft. Bragg, N. C., six daughters, Mrs. Retha Fox,
Ashland; Mrs. Ruth Hewlett, Mrs. Gleena Music and Mrs. James
Brown, Van Lear; Mrs. Phyllis Murphy, Warren, Mich.; and Mrs.
Nancy Margaret Wells, San Antonio, Texas. Also two brothers,
Henry Picklesimer, Springfield, Ohio and Joe Picklesimer,
Staffordsville; and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Pralev, Van Lear and
Mrs. Lottie Perkins of Staffordsville.
Funeral was July 23, in the Van Lear Freewill Baptist Church, with
the Revs. Edgar Hewlett and Bill Tackett officiating.
Burial took place in the Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville
with the Jones-Preston Funeral Home in chargel.
