Willie Wright, 75, of Paintsville, died Thursday, Sept. 18, at Highlands
Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg.
  
Born July 28, 1939, in Johnson County, he was the son of the late
Napplin and Myrtle Smith Wright. He was a retired coal miner and a U.S.
Army veteran.
  
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Wright and Johnny
Wright.
  
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Daniel Wright; six sons, Greg
Wright of River, Jeff Wright of Hager Hill, Jimmy Wright of Paintsville,
James Wright of Thealka, Michael Wright of Concord and David Wright of
Staffordsville; two daughters, Debbie Moore of Newberry, S.C., and
Sandra Wright of Paintsville; a brother, Todd Wright of Florida; three
sisters, Shirley Carr and Bonnie Cropp, both of Silver City, N.C., and
Gale Wright of North Carolina; and seven grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Monday, Sept. 22, at Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel,
with Ronnie Spriggs officiating.
  
Masonic services were by Chandlersville Lodge #858, with military honors
by Auxier Chapter 18 of DAV.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones- Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
