EDNA PHELPS
1904-1984

Edna Phelps, age 80, died Tuesday, September 25, 1984, in
Prestonsburg, Kentucky.

Born in Greenup County, August 17, 1904, the daughter of the
late Joe and Mayme King Nichols.

She was a housewife, a member of the Church of Christ and a
resident of Van Lear at the time of her death.

Surviving are her husband, Kent Phelps; four sons, Tommy Phelps,
Phoenix, Arizona, Eugene Phelps, Deltona, Florida, Paul Phelps,
Lexington, Bill Phelphs, Hager Hill; four sisters, Clotine
Conley, Lexington, Betty Ramey, Sierra Vista, Arizona, Mary
Spodnik, West Field Center, Ohio, Patsey Smith, Florence,
Kentucky; five brothers, Earl, Opal, Edgar, Gilbert and Preston
Nichol, all of South Shore; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, September 28, 1984, in the
Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Dave Flannery
officiating.

Burial was made in the Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville,
under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
