CHARLES ERNEST PLUMMER
1905-1978
Charles Ernest Plummer, 73, died Tuesday, December 5, in Cabell- Huntington
Hospital in West Virginia after an extended illness.
Mr. Plummer was born April 13, 1905, in Johnson County, the son of Charles
and Lydia Pack Plummer.
He was a resident of Louisa, a retired employee of C & O Railway, a
Brotherhood Railroad Trainman and a Kentucky Colonel.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Ellen Ward Plummer; 4 sons, Doug of Van
Lear, jack of Paintsville, Charles Jr. of Hager Hill and Joe of Louisa; a
daughter, Phyllis Mullins of Charleston, WV; 2 sisters, Maude Daniels of
Russell and Ethel Fitch of Meally; 12 grandchildren 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, December 7, in Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with Don Fraley and Eddie Spencer officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Preston Funeral
Home handling arrangements.
Serving as pallbearers were Jack Plummer, Charlie Doug Plummer, Johnny
Plummer, Tim Hamilton, Jack Turner, and Keith Mullins.
