MARTHA RAMEY
1908-1985
Van Lear resident Martha Ramey, 77, died Nov 13 in UK Medical Center in
Lexington.
Mrs. Ramey was born May 6, 1908, in Johnson County, the daughter of John and
Lydia Mollett Music. She was a member of the Van Lear Enterprise Baptist
Church.
Surviving are her husband, Hayes Ramey; a son, Hayes Ramey, Jr. of Van Lear;
two daughters, Billie Ramey Collins and Ruby Ramey Perkins of Van Lear; a
brother, Elige McCloud of Thelma; two sisters, Liza Mullins and Verna
Mullins, both of OH; 20 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Nov 16 in Van Lear Enterprise Baptist Church with
Roger Hill and Bruce Daniels officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville under the direction
of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
