Eli Ratliff Jr., 79, of Staffordsville, died Sunday, Aug. 28, in Melbourne,
Fla.
Born May 31, 1932, in Johnson County, he was the son of the late Eli Sr. and
Ethel Evans Ratliff. He was a road construction worker.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Steve Rick Ratliff; and a half-
sister, Elsie Rowland Burke.
Survivors include his wife, Gracie Blair Ratliff; two daughters, Wanda
Charles of Melbourne and Norma Jean Slash of Huntington, W.Va.; a half-
sister, Dorothy Williams of Middletown, Ohio; four grandchildren; and nine
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 2, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel,
with Wayne Price officiating. Burial was in Highland Memorial Park,
Staffordsville, under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
