Press Ratliff, 69, retired miner of Collista, died at his home
at 8:20 p.m., Wednesday, August 30, after an extended illness.

The son of the late Bud and Lou Collins Ratliff, he was born May
22, 1892, and had been a lifelong resident of the county.

He was a member of the Freewill Baptist church.

His first wife Ollie Ratliff preceeded him in death February 24,
1952.

His second wife, Dollie Gullett Ratliff, survives, also
surviving are two sons, James and ZRece Ratliff, both of Taylor,
Michigan; three daughters, Mrs. E.W. Hall, Allen Park, Michagan;
Mrs. James Fairchilds, Taylor, Michigan; Mrs. Woodrow Fisher,
Ypilant, Michigan; a brother, Jess Ratliff, Chillicothe, Ohio;
six half brothers, Virgil, Earl, and Den Ratliff of this city;
Russell Ratliff, Wayne Michigan; Ervin Ratliff, Oregon; Dick
Ratliff, Dayton, Ohio; three halllf sisters, Mrs. Jessie Van
Hoosse, Thealka; Mrs. Emma Van Hoose, Paintsville; Miss
Margaaaaret Ratliff, Thealka.

Also surviving are six grandchildren and three great grand
children. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m.,
Saturday, September 2, from the Third Street Freewill Baptist
Church with Revs. Claude Preston and C.C. Hall as officiating
ministers.

Burial was in the Ratliff Cemetery at Denver.
