VERDA RICHARDSON
1906-1996
Verda Hammon Richardson , 90, of Paintsville, died, Monday,
August 12,1996, at North Arundel Hospital, in Glen Burnie,
Maryland.
She was born July 27, 1906, in Johnson County, the daughter of
Mayo Hammond and Cora Profitt Hammond.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Cora Profitt Hammond;
father, Mayo Hammond; husband, John M. Richardson.
She is survived by her four daughters, Lelah Litteral, of
Paintsville; Lottie Caughman, of Columbia, South Carolina;
Dottie Hays, of Barnwell, South Carolina; Linda Cantrell,
Severn, Maryland; three brothers, Berkley Amburgey, of
Gainsville, Florida; J. Bart Amburgey, of Berea; Earl Amburgey,
of Lexington; 17 grandchildren, several great-great
grandchildren; several great- great-great grandchildren.
Services were held at Highland Memorial Park, in Staffordsville,
Thursday, August 15.
Burial was at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville.
Funeral arrangements were made by Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
