MARVIN LESLIE ROBERTS
1927-1963
Marvin Leslie Roberts, 35, well-known Paintsville man, died at his
home at 1:00 pm, February 26.
A victim of gunshot wounds, his body was found by neighbors, who
had entered the home to invite him to lunch. He was a painter and
decorator by occupation.
Born August 27, 1927, he was a son of Marvin and Ethel Caudill
Roberts of this city.
He was married to the former Mary Margaret Preston who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Joan, at home and one brother, Ed
Roberts, Memphis, Tenn. and a sister Mrs. Christine Humphrey of
Birmingham, Ala.
The victim’s wife is an employee of the Paintsville City Schools.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday at the First
Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville.
