EURITA CELIA SELVAGE
1888-1975
Mrs. Eurlta Celia Patrick Selvage, 87, died Wednesday, November 26, at the
home of her daughter, Maxine Bierman of Prestonsburg, where she resided.
She was the daughter of the late Noah and Cordelia Franklin Patrick. Born
July 6, 1888 at Meally, she was a member of the Arnold Avenue First
Christian Church at Prestonsburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Selvage in 1958.
Surviving are a son, Russell Selvage of Carlisle, KY; two daughters, Maxine
Bierman of Prestonsburg and Ruby Wells of Auxier; 12 grandchildren and 19
great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 29 in the Arnold Avenue First
Christian Church at Prestonsburg with Reverends Harold Dix and Bill
Gilliland officiating.
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Carter
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
Active pallbearers were Ed Dunford, Richard Bierman, William Mathis, Jeff
Bingham, Donald Selvage, and Randal Wells. Honorary pallbearers were Tom
Fields, Clyde George, Glen Brickley, Tod Adams, Tom O. McGuire, L. B.
Fairchild, Jack McDowell, Jimmy Hatcher, Curtis May, William Arnold Spradlin
and Glenn Anderson.
