ROBERT SHREVE
1907-1977
Robert Bob Shreve, 70, died Sunday, August 14, in Highland Regional Medical
Center after a brief illness. Mr. Shreve was born February 15, 1907, in
Gassaway, WV, the son of Tupper N. and Trexie Montgomery Shreve.
He was a resident of Prestonsburg, a retired employee of South Central Bell
and a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Jattie Wells Shreve; two step sons, McKinley Sparks,
Jr., of Orlando, FL and Oakley Sparks of Prestonsburg, five step daughters,
Pauline McGuire and Mary Hunt of Prestonsburg, Peggy Jo Branham of Mt.
Sterling, Harriet Melvin of Winchester and Dina Lynn Webb of Dwale, a
brother and sister, Holmes Shreve of Elkins, WV and Mary Pontonia of
California, 17 step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 17 in the Jones- Preston
Funeral Home with Reverends Dave Flannery and Kevin Yeater officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Jones-
Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
