Thelma Honaker Slone, 86, of Paintsville, died Thursday, Feb. 26,
2004 at Paul B. Hall Medical Center, Paintsville.
Born April 5, 1917, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the
late Ernest and Myrtle Ramey Honaker.
She was a retired director of housekeeping with McPherson General
Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elba Slone; and three
sons, Roy D. Slone, Paul D. Slone, and Elba Slone, Jr.
Survivors include three sons, James E. Slone and John M. Slone,
both of Paintsville, and Roger L. Slone of Icard, N. C.; two
sisters, Olga L. McKenzie of West Van Lear, and Junnie McFarland of
Salyersville; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four
great-great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday, Feb. 29, at Jones- Preston Funeral
Chapel, Paintsville, with Roger Hill officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Staffordsville,
under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
