MORRIS STAMBAUGH
1918-1981
Morris Stambaugh, 62, died Saturday, March 14 in his Paintsville residence
after a brief illness.
Born October 2, 1918, in Johnson County, he was the son of Garfield and
Locina Akers Stambaugh. He was a resident of Paintsville, a retired foreman
for Johnson County and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are 3 sons; Ronald and Rick Stambaugh of Waterloo, IN, and Roger
Stambaugh of Andrews, IN; a daughter Peggy Adams of Ashland; 2 brothers,
James R. Stambaugh of River and Lowell G. Stambaugh of Paintsville; 4
sisters, Lucy VanHoose and Gladys Roberts of Paintsville, Nellie Rice of
Stambaugh and Ruie Daniels of Toledo, OH; a half sister, Fannie Davis of
Sitka; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 17, in Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with Revs. Jim Price and Dick VanHoose officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
