James M. Sublett, 85, of Paintsville, died Monday, Aug. 29, at Paul B. Hall
Regional Medical Center.
Born March 18, 1926, at Garrett, he was the son of the late Freddy Monroe
and Bessie June Rice Sublett. He was a carpenter and a U.S. World War II
Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Sue Howe Sublett; two sons, Fred Allen
Sublett of Lakeland, Fla., and James Michael Sublett of Paintsville; two
daughters, Florence Dixon of Paintsville and Leetta Snyder of
Staffordsville; a sister, Phyllis Vincent of Akron, Ohio; 11 grandchildren;
14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 2, a t Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel,
with Tobe Wheeler and Larry Blair officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville.
