WILBUR ALLEN SUBLETT
1932-1976
Wilbur Allen Sublett, 43, died Tuesday, March 23, in the VA
Hospital in Lexington after an extended illness.
He was the son of the late Dallas and Jane Osborne Sublett and was
born at Sitka on April 29, 1932. He was employed as a factory
worker for General Motors of Marion, Ind., was a member of the
Church of Christ, a member of Chandlersville Lodge 858 F. & AM,
and the Eastern Star of Marion, Ind., and a veteran of the Korean
War. He was married on February 22, 1957, in Paintsville, to
Elisha Arlene Fannin Sublett, who survives.
Other survivors are a son and daughter, Chester Allen and
Stephania Elaine, both at home; two brothers, Hobert of Lima, Ohio
and James of Sitka; four sisters, Lehah Wheeler and Neva Rothwell,
both of Ashland, Dorothy Wyatt of Sitka and Billie Meade of Nippa.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 26, in the First
Christian Church in Paintsville with Rev. Art Marcum officiating.
Masonic services were conducted at the Preston Funeral Home by the
Chandlersville Lodge 858 F. & AM.
Burial was in the family cemetery at Sitka with Preston Funeral
Home handling arrangements.
