Alice Tackett, 62, of Paintsville, died Friday, Aug. 27, at St. Joseph
Hospital, Lexington.
  
Born April 22, 1948, in Magoffin County, she was the daughter of Wade
Issac and the late Ann Penley Issac. She was a nurse and a member of
the Paintsville Church of Christ.
  
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Tackett.
  
Additional survivors include a daughter, Leona Hicks of North Carolina;
two step-daughters, Tommigean Tackett of Paintsville and Teresa
Stambaugh of Lake City, Fla.; five grandchildren; and five great-
grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Sunday, Aug. 29, at Paintsville Church of Christ,
with Johnny Lemaster officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
