Eva Howard Tackett, 88, of Salyersville, died Monday, April 16, at Paul B.
Hall Medical Center, Paintsville, Kentucky.
 
Born Aug. 15, 1923, in Magoffin County, she was the daughter of the late
Ashland and Lula Jenkins Howard. She was of the United Baptist faith and a
retired factory worker.
  
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Rufuss Howard; second
husband, Mose Tackett Jr.; a son, Troy Crace; six brothers, Greenville
Howard, Solen Howard, Toy Howard, Golden Howard, Ennie Howard and Dennie
Howard; and six sisters, Wonnie Tackett, Vennie Salyer, Ivory Gamble, Flora
Howard, Estie Gamble and Elizabeth Gamble.
 
Survivors include two sons, David Lee Tackett of Oil Springs and Herman
Crace of Salyersville; a daughter, JoAnn Tackett Crislip of Staffordsville;
a brother, Dolie Howard of Salyersville; a sister, Lola Gamble of Marion,
Ohio; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
 
Funeral services were Wednesday, April 18, at Magoffin County Funeral Home
Chapel with Michael Tackett officiating.
 
Burial was in Highlands Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Magoffin County Funeral Home, Salyersville.
