H. C. TACKETT
1893-1953
H. C. Tackett, 59, Of Staffordsville died Wednesday in a local
hospital after an illness of two weeks.
He was the son of the late Lewis L. and Lydia Margaret Lemaster
Tackett and had lived in Johnson County all his life.
He was born Sept. 21, 1893.
Mr. Tackett was a member of the United Baptist Church and was a
farmer by occupation.
He was married on June 1, 1916 to Miss Doshia Rivers who survives
him.
Other survivors include three sons, O. E. Tackett, Mansfield, Ohio;
Robert Kenneth Tackett, Lebanon, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille
Riley, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. Bert Dills, Stanford, Ky., and five
brothers, Sanford Tackett, Charles Tackett and Floyd Tackett, all of
Staffordsville, Carl Tackett, Dayton, Ohio and Sam Tackett, Allen,
Ky.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p. m. Friday, December 18, at the
Barnetts Creek United Baptist Church by elders Lonza Reed, T. J.
Bailey and John Pelphrey.
Burial was made in the family cemetery at Staffordsville under the
direction of the Jones funeral Home.
