Ora Tackett, 86, of Paintsville, died Wednesday, March 21,
2007 at her residence.
Born April 10, 1920, in Johnson County, she was a daughter
of the late Will and Alice Reed Haney.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil
Tackett, in 2006; five brothers, Earl, Jim, Estill, Charlie
and Chester; and a sister, Edna.
Survivors include four sons, Philip Roger Tackett of
Johnstown, Ohio, Willis Woodrow Tackett of Waverly, Ohio,
Wendell Lee Tackett of Wabash, Ind., and Cecil Curtis
Tackett of Paintsville; two daughters, Alice Jane Meade of
Tutor Key, and Alma Lola Wright of Louisa; 13 grandchildren;
and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 24, at Phelps and Son
Funeral Home, Paintsville, with Josh Wright, Eddie Pelphrey,
and Buddy McKenzie officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Phelps and Son Funeral Home.
