WILLIAM TACKETT
1922-1987
Staffordsville resident, William “Jack” Tackett, 65, died Saturday, December
19 in Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Tackett was born November 3, 1922 in Johnson County, the son of F. M.
“bud” and Lizzie Blanton Tackett. He was a retired truck driver and a member
of Staffordsville Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline Trimble Tackett; two sons, Billy F. Tackett
of Wittensville, and Jackie Tackett of Atlanta, GA; four daughters, Ann
Butcher of Wittensville, Brenda Stafford of Newell, WV, Pam Reed of Jenkins,
and Robbyn Tackett of Staffordsville; two brothers, F. M. Tackett, Jr. of
Staffordsville and Emory Tackett of Winder, GA; two sisters, Jewell McKenzie
of Piketon, OH, and Mable Picklesimer of Thornsville, OH and seven
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 22 in Staffordsville Freewill
Baptist Church with Revs. John Frank Ratliff and James Crider officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial park at Staffordsville with Paintsville
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
