CORA LOU THOMAS
1896-1995
Funeral services were held Friday, September 8 for Cora Lou Music
Thomas, 98, who died Wednesday September 6, 1995 at Highland Regional
Medical Center, Floyd Co Ky.
Mrs. Thomas was born September 17 1896, in Johnson County the
daughter of the late Henry Jefferson and Emma Zella Howard Music.
She was a former owner of "Peggy Lou Shoppe", member of Mayo Memorial
United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Paintsville, Chapter
No. 320, Paintsville Garden Club, Garden Club of Kentucky , and Mayo
Methodist Women. Surviving are two daughters, Carol Roberta Thomas of
Paintsville, and Mildred Thomas Damronof Wichita, Kansas; and two
grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and three great-great-
grandchildren.
A third daughter, Helen McKenzie, died on Saturday, September 9 1995.
Officiating at services at Mayo Memorial United Methodist Church was
Errol Archerson and Eddie Young.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville, with Jones-
Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
