Former Coroner Victim of Sudden Heart Attack
James H. Trimble, 73, well-known local resident, died suddenly of
a heart attack at his home on Fifth Street Tuesday morning, May
26.
The son of the late Sherman and Shellie Williams Trimble, he was
born in this county September 23, 1891, and had lived in this city
most of his life.
A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Freewill Baptist
Church and served as Johnson County coroner for twelve years. He
was a former teacher, and worked as a funeral home employee for
thirty-five years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beecher Roberts Trimble, two
daughters, Mrs. Earl Newman of this city, Mrs. Donald Trimble,
Chillicothe, Ohio; a brother, Dorris Trimble, Oil Springs, a
sister, Mrs. Vint Davis, Oil Springs. Also surviving are a
grandson and two granddaughters.
Suneral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at the
Third Street Freewill Baptist Church with Scott Castle and James
E. Wallace as officiating ministers. Music will be by the
Paintsville Quartet.
Nephews will act as pallbearers. Burial will be in Highland
Memorial Cemetery.
