JAMES V. TRIMBLE
1891-1976
James V. Trimble, 85, died Sunday, December 12, in the Mountain Manor
Nursing Home at Prestonsburg after an extended illness.
Mr. Trimble was the son of William H. and Sarah Alice VanHoose Trimble. He
was born March 21, 1891, in Johnson County, was a resident of West Van Lear
and a member of the United Baptist Church.
His wife, Mayme Goble Trimble preceded him in death.
Surviving are a son, James William of Pikeville, two daughters, Mrs. Byrd R.
Isom of Louisville and Mrs. Franklin C. Cunningham of Austin, TX; a brother,
Thurman Trimble of Kilbourne, OH; nine grandchildren and six great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 14, in the Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel with Lonza Reed officiating.
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Jones-
Preston Funeral Home handling arrangements.
