William "Bill" Turner, 87, of Tutor Key, died Thursday, Sept. 22 at his
residence.
 
Born June 23, 1924, at Crockettsville, he was the son of the late William
and Ollie May Turner. He was an agronomist with the KY Department of
Highways, a member of the First Christian Church at Jackson and was a U.S.
Air Force veteran.
 
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Brown Turner; four daughters, Cynthia
Chapman of Jackson, Debra Hall of Pikeville, Jennifer Turner of Lexington
and Pamela Brown of Panasoffkee, Fla.; two sisters, Eunice Scott and Edna
Mae Turner, both of Jackson; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-
grandchildren.
 
Funeral services were Sunday, Sept. 25, at Preston Funeral Home, with Harry
Steven Moren, Mary Elizabeth Noren, and William Anthony Scott officiating.
 
Burial was in Highland Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under direction of
Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
