Blanche Watkins Vanderpool, 67, of Salyersville, died Sunday, April
6, at her residence.
Born Dec. 28, 1935, in Magoffin County, she was a daughter of the
late Jim and Nannie Bailey Watkins.
She was a retired school teacher.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John Clay Watkins,
Willie Watkins and Donald Watkins.
Survivors include her husband, Vernon Vanderpool of Salyersville; a
son, Gregory Vanderpool of Salyersville; a daughter, Debra Reed of
West Liberty; two sisters, Sarah Shepherd of Royalton and Charlotte
Gillum of Salyersville; and a grandchild.
Funeral services were Tuesday, April 8, at Magoffin County Funeral
Home Chapel, Salyersville, with Rev. Herlis Cole officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Magoffin County Funeral Home.
