ESTILL VANHOOSE
1914-1986
Nippa resident Estill (Yaller) VanHoose 72, died October 13 in Paul B. Hall
Medical Center.
Mr. VanHoose was born April 6, 1914 in Johnson County, the son of Burns C.
and Gracie Fairchild VanHoose.
He was a retired miner and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Vonda Castle VanHoose, two sons, Ernest R. VanHoose
of Denver, and Dick VanHoose of Paintsville, a daughter, Alice Jewell
Stambaugh of Nippa; two brothers, Ollie VanHoose of Wittensville and Burns
C. VanHoose, Jr., of Dayton, OH; a sister, Eunice Adams, of Wittensville.
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 16 in Tom's Creek Freewill
Baptist Church with James Kelly Caudill officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home in charge.
