IDA VANHOOSE
1897-1993
Ida VanHoose, 96, died Monday, December 20 at the J. J. Jordan Nursing Home
in Louisa, KY. Mrs. VanHoose was born September 8, 1897 in Johnson County.
She was the daughter of George and Margaret Osborne Rice. She was retired
post master of the Nippa Post Office.
Mrs. VanHoose was preceded in death by her husband, Kenis VanHoose in
December 1987. Surviving are one son, K. Douglas VanHoose of Paintsville;
two daughters, Faye Castle and Wava Lemaster, both of Paintsville; one
brother, McKinley Rice of Russell, 7 grandchildren and 12 great
grandchildren.
Paintsville Funeral Home was in charge of the services held Thursday,
December 23, 1993. Revs. M. T. Womack, Jr., and Quentine Crum officiated.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
