Jones-Preston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mary
Louise VanHoose, 75, who died Tuesday, August 11, 1998 at her
Paintsville residence.

Mrs. VanHoose was born January 5, 1923, in Johnson County, to the
late James and Jenny Boyd Pickle.

She was a nurse.

Surviving are four sons, Robert Michael VanHoose of West Van Lear,
Barry Keith and Ronald Allen VanHoose, both of Paintsville, and Wade
Marion VanHoose of Clovis, New Mexico; two daughters, Karen Lou
Hackworth of Riceville and Emma Gail Blanton of Paintsville; one
brother, James Earl Pickle of Paintsville; three sisters, Beatrice
Webb of Hager Hill, Elizabeth Neff of Wabash, Indiana, and Josephine
Webb of Springfield, Ohio; and 11 grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, at 1 p.m. at
Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with John Michael Blanton, Harry
Neal Frisby and Bonnie Spriggs officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
