NOLLIE VANHOOSE
1897-1977
Nollie VanHoose, 80, died Monday, August 22, 1977 in Paintsville
Hospital following an extended illness.
Mrs. VanHoose was born March 16, 1897, in Johnson County, the
daughter of Albert and Loutisha Boyd VanHoose.
She was a resident of Wittensville and a member of the Tom's Creek
Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband Hancel VanHoose; six sons Ernest of
Paintsville, Glen of San Diego, Calif., Curtis of Spring Valley,
Calif., John Allen and Donald Joe, both of Dayton and William Albert
of Louisville; two daughters, Audrey Vaughn and Naomi Burg, both of
San Diego, Calif.; three brothers, Fred VanHoose, Roby VanHoose and
Clyde VanHoose, all of Sitka: 22 grandchildren and two great
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 25, 1977 in the Tom's
Creek Freewill Baptist Church at Nippa with Rev. James Kelly Caudill
officiating.
Burial will be in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with
Jones-Preston Funeral Home handling arrangements.
