ROBY VANHOOSE
1906-1988
Retired miner Roby VanHoose, 81, died Wednesday, November 30, in Paul B.
Hall Regional Medical Center.
Mr. VanHoose was born December 30, 1906 in Johnson County, the son of Albert
VanHoose and Loutisha Boyd. He was a member of Sitka Freewill Baptist
Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mae Salyers VanHoose; 1 son, James A. VanHoose of
Sitka; 2 brothers, Fred VanHoose and Clyde VanHoose both of Sitka; 8
grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December3 in Sitka Freewill Baptist
Church with Bob Lyons, Jim McKenzie and Stanley Burchett officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
