ALVA CYNTHIA VAUGHN
1918–2002
Funeral services were Thursday, January 24, at the Jones-Preston
Funeral Chapel for Alva Cynthia Hackworth Vaughn, 83, who passed away
Sunday, January 20 at King’s Daughters Medical Center.
Mrs. Vaughn was born February 20, 1918 in Johnson County, daughter of
the late Martin and Malta Collins Hackworth.
She was preceded in death by her husband Nolan Walter Vaughn.
Surviving are two sons, Walter Douglas Vaughn of Grafton, Wisconsin,
and Roger M. Vaughn of Russell; three daughters, Daisy Elaine Gregg
of Ft. Worth, Tx., Judy Ann Vaughn of Leander, and Linda Sue Clouse
of Cookeville, Tn.; one step- daughter, Wilma Jane Croley of Dayton,
Ohio; one brother, Orbin Hackworth of Haines City, Fla.; four
grandsons; three granddaughters; eight great-granddaughters.
The service was officiated by Wayne Price and Clarence Baker, with
entombment following at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville.
