1906-2000

Leander resident Nolan Walter Vaughan, 93, died Wednesday, May
10,2000 at Highlands Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Vaughan was born November 28, 1906, in Floyd County, to the late
Walter and Callie Conley Vaughan.

He was an educator for over 50 years.

Surviving are his wife, Alva Hackworth Vaughan; two sons, Douglas
Vaughan of Grafton, Wisconsin, and Roger Vaughan of Russell; four
daughters, Judy Vaughan of Leander, Elaine Gregg of Fort Worth,
Texas, Linda Clouse of Cookeville, Tennessee, and Wilma Vaughan
Croley of Dayton, Ohio; and seven grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Saturday, at 11 a.m. at
Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Powell Collins and Dick
VanHoose officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
