CHARLES ROY VENCILL
1897-1981
Charles Roy Vencill, 83, died Thursday, January 15, in his
Paintsville residence.
Mr. Vencill was born April 13, 1897, in Johnson County, the son of
John and Martha Pigman Vencill.
He was a retired driller.
Surviving are his wife, Myrtie Conley Vencill; a son, Charles R.
Vencill, Paintsville; five daughters, Charlotte Dishion, Paintsville,
Lennie S. Orme, Owensville, Ruth White, Lexington, Fay Persfull,
South Bend, Ind., and Olga Duffy, Oil Springs; and eight
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 17, in Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Fraley officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, with Jones-
Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
