RUTH JANE WALKER
1914-1996
Retired retail clerk Ruth Jane Bryan Walker, 81, died Monday, January
15, 1996 at Mercy Sierra Woods Nursing Facility, Dayton, Ohio.
Mrs. Walkerwas born February 23, 1914, in Osceola, Texas, the
daughter of the late Oscar Brya and Nancy Ann Denton.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Maley Walker, in 1976.
Surviving are two sons, Marvin (Butch) Walker of Paintsville and
Wendell Walker of Kermit, Texas; four daughters, Loretta Montgomery
of Willow Park, Texas, Louise St. John of Franklin, Ohio, Edith
Williams of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Theresa Tighe of
Sacramento, California; one brother, Oscar Bryan of Hillsboro, Texas;
three sisters, Annette Bryan of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and Robbeye
Ridlehuber and Vivian Bryan, both of Hillsboro; and 15 grandchildren
and 14 great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, January 18, at JonesPreston
Funeral Home Chapel, with Terry Reffett officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
