MEARL WALLEN

River resident Mearl Wallen, 88, died Tuesday, October 12, 1999 in
Portsmouth, Ohio.
Mr. Wallen was born July 21, 1911, in Johnson County, to the late
William and Gypsie Murry Wallen.
Surviving are one brother, Ballard Wallen of Catlettsburg, and five
sisters, Dorothy Daniel and Betty Stapleton, both of River, Mae
Price of Offutt, Fay Craft of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Edith VanHoose
of Wilmington, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 15, at Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, with William VanHoose, and David VanHoose officiating.
Burial was in Wallen Cemetery at River.
