BILLIE EDYTH WARD
1917-2006
Graveside services were held Thursday, Dec. 14, 11 a.m. at the
Highland Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky., for Billie Edyth
Ward, 89, of Boons Camp, Ky., who passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13 at
Mountain Manor Nursing Facility in Paintsville, Ky.
Mrs. Ward was born July 15, 1917 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of
the late Abisha and Martha Branham Ward. She was a retired teacher
with the Johnson County school system.
She was also preceded in death
by four brothers, Lee, Bish, Ashley, and Wiley (Velma); and three
sisters, Verna Ward, Nellie Ward (Delbert) Mollett, and Elna Ward
(John) Buster.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law, Cassie
Lackey Ward.
The service was officiated by M.C. Preston.
Arrangements under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home of
Paintsville.
