CLARA WARD
1904-1985
Paintsville resident, Clara Ward, 80, died August 10 in Paul B. Hall
Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. Ward was born December 20, 1904 in Johnson County, the daughter of Byrd
and Nelvia Pack Bowens. She was a resident of Paintsville and a member of
the United Baptist Church. Her husband, Walter Ward, preceded her in death
in 1975.
Surviving are two sons, Elmer Ward of Butler, OH and Logan Ward of Muncy,
IN; five daughters, Lorraine Castle of Paintsville, Carmalee Spears of
Butler, OH, Katie Browning of WV, Anna Lee Colegrove of FL and Helen Jean
Cornell of PA.
Funeral services held Monday, August 12 in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel
with Dick VanHoose and Don Fraley officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
