IRVIN WARD
1925-1972
Irvin Ward, 66, of Lowmansville died Monday, January 31 in the Paintsville
Hospital following a ten day illness.
He was a retired miner and was affiliated with the Enterprise Baptist
Church.
He was the son of the late Simon and Mary Bowens Ward.
Immediate survivors include his wife, Arvelva Skaggs Ward, two daughters,
Mrs. Ruth Combs of Columbus, OH and Mrs. Dorothy Butler of Oakland, MD, and
two sisters, Margie Sparks of Whitehouse and Edith Walters of Jowel Ridge,
VA. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Bruce Daniel, Rev. Virgil
Daniel, and Rev. M. T. Womack, Jr., at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 3 at the
Chestnut Grove Enterprise Baptist Church at Lowmansville.
Burial followed in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville under
direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
