James Everett Ward, 31 died Friday, December 5, 1981 at Davis
Branch, Paintsville.
Mr. Ward was born March 12, 1949 in Johnson County, son of the late
Walter Ward and Clara Bowen Ward, and was a resident of River.
Surviving are his mother, Clara Ward; his wife, Shela Salyers Ward;
a son and daughter, James Jr., and Kathy Ellen Ward, River; four
brothers, Elmer Ward, Paintsville, Logan and Clyde Ward, Meally, and
Walter Ward, Florida; five sisters, Anna Lee Colgrove and Helen
Cornell, Florida, Loraine Miller, Paintsville, Kathalene Browning,
West Virginia, and Carma Lee Spears, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 9, in Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel with Don Farley officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, with Jones-
Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
