LORINZA L. WARD
1939-1972
Lorinza L. (Bud) Ward, 32, of Paintsville died Sunday, February 20 in the
Veteran’s Hospital in Huntington, WV following a three month illness.
He was affiliated with the First Baptist church. He had served six years in
the United States Army and four years in the United States Navy, and he was
a former policeman, substitute teacher at Paintsville High School, and an
honor graduate of Prestonsburg Community College.
He was the son of Bennie f. and Louellon Reed Ward.
Immediate survivors include two brothers, Cecil Prater, Jr., of Geneva, NY
and Jack Ward of Columbus, OH, and four sisters, Marie Conley of
Paintsville, Betty Garten of Paintsville, Anna Tackett of Cincinnati, OH and
Cathy Ward of Paintsville.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Charles Milam at 2 p.m. Wednesday,
February 23 at the First Baptist Church in Paintsville.
Burial followed in the family cemetery at Tutor Key under direction of the
Preston Funeral Home.
