Mrs. Nancy Lynn Ward, 82, died March 21 in Mt. Manor Nursing Home after an
extended illness.
 
Mrs. Ward was born December 27, 1900 in West Virginia, the daughter of
Charles A. and Alice York Powers. She was a resident of Hager Hill and a
member of the Mayo United Methodist Church.
 
Her husband, William (Bill) Ward, preceded her in death December 6, 1961.
 
Surviving are a son, William Ward, Jr., of Lexington; two daughters, Nancy
Lynn Brugh, Paintsville, and Alyce Elizabeth Conley, Van Lear; eight
grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held
March 23 in Mayo United Methodist Church with Lindsey Davis and Fred Wyles
officiating.
 
Burial was in Ward Family Cemetery, Hager Hill, with Preston Funeral Home in
charge of arrangements.
 
Serving as pallbearers were Bill Bailey, Bob Conley, O. T. Dorton, L. T.
Goggins, Marvin Walker, and Ronnie Wells.
