Phyllis J. Wilcox Ward, 69, of Paintsville, died Wednesday, Aug. 31,
2005 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center, Paintsville.
Born April 21, 1936, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the
late John and Rosa Saddler Wilcox. She was a homemaker.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Russell Ward, in
2003.
Survivors inlcude a son, Jimmy Ray Ward of Herndon, Va.; a daughter,
Bonnie Sue Ward Travis of Van Lear; three brothers, Charles Wilcox
and Gayland Wilcox, both of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Cliff Wilcox of
West Van Lear; a sister, Kathleen Berry of Paintsville; two
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 3, at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, Paintsville, with Mark Tackett officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
