Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Ruby
Jewell Daniels Ward, 78, who died Saturday, January 1, 2000 at Paul
B. Hall Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Ward was born August 15, 1921, in Johnson County, to the late
Frank and Izora Harless Daniels.
Surviving are her husband, John V. Ward; four sons, Glen and John
Ward Jr., both of Van Lear, and Clyde and Gary Lee Ward, both of
Willis, Michigan; one daughter, Bonnie Marie Guzman of Waukegan,
Illinois; two brothers, Lloyd Daniels of Paintsville and Robert
Daniels of Van Lear; three sisters, Bessie McCoart of Van Lear and
Lucille Blanton and Opal Richmond, both of Paintsville; and 12
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 4, at Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel, with Manford Fannin and Ronnie Spriggs
officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
