SHERMAN W. WARD

Sherman Ward, 62, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home in
Hampton, Va., Sunday, April 16.

The son of Daniel and Mary Hitchcock Ward, he was born in this
county and had lived in Hampton for the past eighteen years, where
he was employed by the C & O Railway Company.

He was a member of the United Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Donna Blair Ward; two sons, Vivian
Ward, Hampton, Va.; Charles Ward, Seattle, Washington; one daughter,
Mrs. Tony Clifton, Hampton, Va.; three brothers, Grant Ward,
Staffordsville, Harrison Ward, Florida; Jesse Ward, West Virigina;
one sister, Mrs. Bell Blair, Barnetts Creek. Also surviving are
twelve grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Sunday from the
Beechwall United Baptist Church with Prater Blair, Millard Bryant,
and James H. Blair as officiating ministers.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville.
