WILLIAM WARD JR
1922-1994
Former Johnson County resident, William Ward, Jr., 72, died Monday, October
17 at the V.A. Medical center, Lexington.
Mr. Ward was born June 11, 1922, in Point Pleasant, WV, the son of the late
William Sr., and Nancy Powers Ward. He was a retired civil engineer with C
&O Railway.
Surviving are three sons, William III of Garner, NC, Neil of Martin and
Stanley of West Prestonsburg; two sisters, Alyce Conley of Van Lear and
Nancy Brugh of Paintsville; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 21 at Preston Funeral Home Chapel
with Manford Kidd officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
