George W. Webb, 91, of Oil Springs, died Wednesday, March 17, at Paul B.
Hall Medical Center, Paintsville.
Born Dec. 4, 1918, at Oil Springs, he was the son of the late Leander and
Dona Salyer Webb. He was a coal miner.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Donald Webb of Oil Springs and George
Danny Webb of Johnson City, Tenn.; two daughters, Fran E. Davis of Scott
Depot, W.Va., and Judith Carol VanHoose of Oil Springs; a brother, Arrowood
Webb of Wooster, Ohio; a sister, Gladys Gullett of Clarksville, Tenn.; nine
grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday, March 21, at Oil Springs Freewill Baptist
Church, with Keith Horn, Chad Blair, and Larry Meadows officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
