Death Takes Haskell Webb
Haskell Webb, 69, died Tuesday, August 25, in a local hospital
after an illness of one year.
A son of the late Scott and Ann Spears Webb, he was born in
Johnson County, March 2, 1896.
Formerly a resident of West Van Lear, he was residing in
Paintsville at the time of death. Mr. Webb was a member of the
United Baptist Church, a World War l veteran, and a retired C&O
Railway employee.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes Conley Webb; two sons, John
Charles Webb, Cincinnati, Ohio; Fred Webb, Paintsville; five
daughters, Mrs. Roberta Ebling, Warren, Ohio; Mrs. Pauline Grim,
Paintsville; Mrs. Ernestine Fitch, Williamson, W. Va.; Mrs. Louise
Bice and Mrs. Maurine Castle, Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs.
Bertha George, Whitehouse; Mrs. Nettie Ratliff, Lackey; Mrs.
Minnie Estep, Dayton, Ohio.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, August 28, 1964, in the
Jones and Preston Funeral Home with the Rev. Elzie Banks and Rev.
John Crum officiating.
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
