MURTIE WEBB
1893-1961
Mrs. Murtie Webb, 68, resident of Denver, died in a local hospital
at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 9, after an extended illness.
The daughter of the late Dewey and Nan Adams Bailey, she was born
in Magoffin County February 18, 1893.
She had made her home at Denver for the past twenty-five years and
prior to that time had resided at Auxier.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart Webb.
Surviving are a son, Jim Bailey; six stepsons, Ollie Webb, Corbin,
W.Va.; Elmer Webb, Paintsville; Pearl Lee Webb, Marshall, Ohio;
Edward Webb, Ada, Ohio; Willie Webb, Dayton, Ohio; Glenn Webb, St.
Louis, Mo; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Myrtle Blair and Mrs. Mary
Blair, Barnetts Creek; Mrs. Edna Mae Wells, Van Lear; a niece, Mrs.
Edna Johnson, Hager Hill, and a nephew.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 12,
from the chapel of the Jones and Preston Funeral Home with Rev.
Claude Preston as officiating minister.
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Staffordsville.
